Bus and Coach Preservation magazine reports that Southampton Park Royal- bodied Leyland PD2/27 No 311 (312 TR) has been discovered just outside Ghent in Belgium. The bus is believed to have been in its present location for more than 25 years. 311 was among a batch of 12 (301-312) PD2's delivered in 1961 and registered 301-9/11-313 TR - there was no 310 TR. They were Southampton's first double-deckers since the last Guys were delivered in 1954. They were not exactly good looking but had a certain charm. The vehicle is not up for sale and is in a relatively sound state apart from a few missing windows and seats.

No 303 (303 TR), one the Leyland Titan's from the same batch as 312 TR. The overall appearance was not helped by the large amount of red used. Later in their lives the roof was painted cream and this helped improve the appearance.
